As a registered and licensed dietitian, I am tremendously proud of what dietetics professionals are doing for our association, our profession and our fellow citizens. It would be my privilege to represent that amazing vision, passion and drive as House of Delegates Director for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

A dietitian changed my life and for that I will be forever grateful. From that experience, I decided to pursue a career in dietetics so that I could help others.

Part of giving back extends to involvement in the association. I became an active member and volunteer while a student and from there was recruited to serve at the local, state and national level.

Being involved with the association has opened doors for me to all my practice opportunities. In  my career, I have been fortunate to work in a variety of diverse practice settings and in non-traditional roles within our field.

I believe in the power we have to improve health and change lives. I have witnessed and experienced it firsthand. Because of that belief, I take every opportunity to advocate for and promote who we are and what we do.

Because of all that I have been blessed with, I continue to look to all the ways that I can serve the profession and the association. I hope to inspire and encourage others to become more involved. We are the Academy and together we can make a difference.

My goals for the House of Delegates (HOD) include enhanced communication so that more members understand the role of the HOD and are engaged and involved in the discussions by providing input on and suggesting mega issues for consideration by the HOD, all of our diverse practice settings are considered in the mega issue dialogue and outcomes, and the work of the HOD helps to advance and promote the profession.

I want to serve as your voice in the House of Delegates. A voice that echoes your concerns.

A voice that shares your dreams. A voice that matters. A voice that cares.
